Police

11/21 - A man who resides on F Street told police that someone had gotten into his unlocked vehicle and taken his laptop.

- A woman on Kelso Avenue told police that a stray dog had been in her yard for a few days. The officer found a chow-wow type dog that was shivering. The dog did not have a license tab and was taken to the veterinary clinic.

- A disconnected radiator hose stalled a vehicle on Roosevelt Drive. The driver told police that he was waiting for the radiator to cool and that everything was OK.

11/22 - Two unlocked vehicles on Division Street were gone through, but nothing taken, the owner reported to police.

- A woman on Sunny Drive reported that someone had entered her unlocked car and gone through her glove box and center console. Nothing was taken.

- A wanted woman was found in the back seat of a vehicle on Banks Avenue. She was arrested and taken to Grant County jail.


11/23 - A man who had been banned from an apartment complex on Federal Avenue was arrested for trespassing. Police found that he had in his possession legend drugs without a prescription. He is being charged with trespassing and the drug possession and was taken to Grant County jail.

- Police found a man passed out in the alley at Van Tyne. He said he didn’t need assistance and that he was just tired.

- A Coulee Dam man was cited for theft after he allegedly left Banks Lake Pub without paying his bar bill of $38.75. The owner of the pub asked that the man be banned from the establishment. The man’s mother stated that she would pay the bar bill.

11/24 - A man known to be wanted on a warrant was reportedly a passenger in a vehicle entering Grand Coulee. Police stopped the vehicle, arrested the man, and took him to Grant County jail.

- A man told police that a vehicle had pulled up to him while he was walking on Spokane Way and the passenger told him that if he didn’t stop threatening a person he would be “beat within an inch of his life.”

11/25 - A man who violated a no-trespass order at the Bureau of Reclamation was cited by police.

- A woman was provided shelter by Coulee Playground after the person she had been with left the area.

11/26 - An Electric City man was cited for “flipping off” cars on SR-155. He was cited for disorderly conduct and for littering after an officer found the citation torn up and left on the ground.

- Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly punched another man at the Electric City Bar & Grill. The man was identified through pictures shown to the bartender.

- A man who was reported as passed out in his truck was found to have a warrant and was arrested and taken to Grant County jail.

11/19 - A driver was observed speeding on River Drive. He was going 44 mph in a 35 mph zone. He was warned on this but cited for having expired tabs.

11/22 - Police checked on the welfare of a party living on Aspen Street.

11/24 - A man on Spruce Street reported that he was a victim of a vehicle prowl sometime during the night.

- Police checked on the welfare of a person on Camas Street. The man who called in the request stated that he had just talked with the man there, but when he went to the door there was no response. The officer knocked on doors and windows and got no response, but when he returned to the front door the party in question was standing there. He stated that he had been up late and had fallen asleep.

- A driver was stopped because the pickup she was driving didn’t have license plates. Her Nevada driver license was suspended, and police learned that the vehicle had been stopped in Grand Coulee recently for having the wrong plates on it. She was cited, and the vehicle towed. A search of the vehicle showed there were several opened alcohol containers. The report stated the vehicle had many dents.

11/25 - A driver was stopped near the fire department after police noticed that he had one headlamp out. He didn’t have a driver’s license. The driver called for a licensed driver to take charge of the vehicle and was cited for driving without a license.
