Electric City has received word that it is receiving two grants from the Federal Emergency Management Agency totaling $183,000 for emergency street repairs.

The repairs will also cover two manhole problems resulting from winter damage.

The grants cover engineering costs, paving, site cleanup and compaction tests, as well as related costs.

Work will include repairs to the intersection at Sunny Drive and Third Street, Kelso Avenue, Western Avenue and Grand Street intersection, Kelso Avenue and State Street intersection, Gold Avenue and Pearl Avenue intersection, Gold Avenue, Pearl Avenue, Grand Avenue and Goodfellow Street intersection, Silver Drive, Sunset Drive, Lincoln Avenue, Lincoln Avenue and Crest Avenue intersection, Crest Avenue, Hillcrest Avenue, Grand Avenue and Miller Avenue intersection, Coulee Boulevard and Electric Avenue intersection, Road 58.1 NE, and the Grand Avenue and Jackson Avenue intersection.
