The Lake Roosevelt Lady Raiders softball team continues to win, defeating both the Waterville Lady Shockers and the Soap Lake Lady Eagles this past week, putting their league win-loss record at 14-2 and their overall record at 14-4. The Lady Raiders play at home on Tuesday to start the postseason.

At home April 25 against Waterville, the Lady Raiders won decisively 16-1.

"Our defense was outstanding with zero errors, and we put the ball in play," said Head Coach Alissa Mansker. "Gloria [Michel] pitched a great game, Haley Neddo got a home run at the end of the game, and Kayla St. Pierre had an excellent triple to score three RBIs in the third inning."

The Lady Raiders continued to dominate, defeating the Soap Lake Lady Eagles Saturday in both games of a doubleheader, winning 19-2 then 14-4.

"Seniors Kourtney Harrington and Tristen Adolph pitched the whole thing; they did great," Mansker said.

Another highlight came when Sean Garvin hit a home run out of the park.

The wins place the Lady Raiders right behind number-one seed Brewster (16-0, 16-2).

The ladies played yesterday against Waterville on the Lady Shockers' home field, defeating them 16-0.

Lake Roosevelt moves on to the postseason, beginning with districts, on Tuesday May 9, at home in Grand Coulee at 4:30 p.m. playing the winner of an upcoming Oroville/Tonasket game.
