Park work awarded

The Coulee Area Park and Recreation District has awarded a contract to Taylor Enterprises to care for North Dam Park in 2017. The company bid $18,578 to do a more limited maintenance plan than has been accepted in the past. Bidding was capped at $20,000 in the request for bids. Last year the district spent more than $30,000.

Chair Bob Valen said Taylor’s offer to do some extra work, such as restroom maintenance during festivals, helped sway district commissioners.
