For high school students who are interested in agricultural careers, USDA Aphis has a great summer program. It is a 2-week residential program at 22 different universities and all expenses are covered except transportation to and from the sponsoring university.

AgDiscovery 2017 is a unique opportunity for students to gain a first-hand look at the many career paths available in the agricultural sciences field categorized into three areas of discipline: agribusiness, animal, and combination.

For more information, please see the AgDiscovery website: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/agdiscovery for a current brochure and application.

The deadline for submitting applications is March 1, 2017.
