Webster Willman Curtiss, 88, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016. He was born in Payette, Idaho, to Louis and Maude Curtiss, on September 4, 1927. He had one older brother, Bob. At age 6, Webster and his family moved to Avon, Ohio. Webster enjoyed swimming in Lake Erie all summer. Then at about age 12, the family moved to Hollywood, California, and Webster went to Marshal High School. At the age of 20 he moved to Caldwell, Idaho, where his brother lived. He lived there until he met his future wife, Mildred, in 1970. They married in 1973. Webster had a truck and hauled hay to all the farmers. In 1976, Weber became a milker; he loved working with cows and worked at that for about 18 years. The couple then moved to Spokane in 1989 and lived there until 1999, when they moved to Grand Coulee to manage the Trail West Motel for three years until they retired.

Webster enjoyed going to the senior center and playing cards. He did that until he was no longer able to. He loved fishing and camping and taking road trips. His main goal in life was to live a Christian life and help everyone he could.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; a son, Dempsie Bradshaw and a daughter, Delpha Smith. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed.
