Jean E. Hilson Scott peacefully passed on March 31, 2016, just 26 days short of her 95th birthday. She had lived in many places, but for the last 12 years she resided in Electric City with her little brother, Jack Hilson. They had spent their younger years together and later years together. Those that knew her would agree that she was a "spitfire."

She is survived by her daughters-in-law: Bonnie Scott and Nancy Scott; grandchildren: Lisa, Jennifer, Kevin, Jason, and Jessie; nieces: Pamela "Jean" Byam, Pat Gerard, Carole Johnson, Shirley Vaughan, Kathy Wein, and Sandra Yarbrough; nephews: Ken Hilson, Douglas Hilson, and Lester Waddington; and numerous great-nieces and -nephews. Special to her in the later years were great-niece Karyn Byam-Payne and great-great-niece Madisyn "Jean" Byam.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ed Scott; sons: Allen Scott, and Jeff Scott; sister Evelyn Waddington, and brothers: Bob, Howard, and Jack Hilson; niece and nephew JoAnn and Spencer Hinson, and nephew Dale Hilson.

Per her request, there will be no services. April 26, 1921 to March 31, 2016. Jean, you go and kick butt and take names.
