Auditions for Rumpelstiltskin set for March 7 at the Grand Gallery Theatre

An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of RUMPELSTILTSKIN Monday, March 7, 2016, at the Grand Gallery Theatre in Grand Coulee  from 4 to 6 p.m. All those auditioning should arrive between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m., and plan to stay for the full two hours.  Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition, lasting until 8:30 p.m.

Among the roles to be cast are Rumpelstiltskin, Queen Beatrice, Clara, a Jester, King Whatsat, Villagers, Gnomes, Wizards, Knights and Bees. Students, ages kindergarten through 12th grade, are encouraged to audition. Home schooled and out-of-the-area children are welcome. No preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week, and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions come complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., each day.


RUMPELSTILTSKIN will be presented on March 12, 2016, at the Grand Gallery Theater in Grand Coulee. This week is part of the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s unique international touring project and is presented locally by the Grand Coulee PTA.
