Ruth Marie (Davis) (Wheeler) Walberg

Ruth Marie (Davis) (Wheeler) Walberg passed away Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, at the age of 91.  She was born June 15, 1924, in Casper, Wyoming, to Glen and Winnie Davis.  While in her teens, her family settled on a small farm near Nashua, Montana. She graduated from high school in Glasgow, Montana, and attended Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho.

She married Henry Wheeler in 1944.  They moved to Coulee Dam in 1954, along with their five children.  Henry passed away in 1959. She stayed in Coulee Dam, where she raised her five children.  She worked for the Coulee Dam School District for many years and was active in the Coulee Dam Community Presbyterian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Lady of the Shrine and Rebekah Lodge.

In 1972, she married George Walberg.  They remained in Coulee Dam until 2009, when they moved to Stanwood, Washington, to live with youngest daughter Ruth, and son-in-law Don.  George passed away in 2012.

She is survived by her five children and spouses:  Lynn Wheeler (Anne), Linda Eskelin (Stacey), Tom Wheeler (Julie), Ruth Boatright (Don), and Betty Jo Happ (Jerry).  She is also survived by eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers, three sisters and one grandchild.
