Recycling options in (and around) the Coulee

Ever wonder just what your options are for recycling? Here’s a list put together by Coulee Dam Councilmember Gayle Swagerty, who has been exploring the options. Swagerty is an avid recycler and advocates local cooperation for an easier approach.

“Let’s have a conversation about recycling,” she says. “You can recycle in and around the coulee.”

Be sure to take advantage of the household hazardous waste collection event this Friday, Sept 11, at the Delano Regional Transfer Station from Noon - 4p.m. For locations accepting fluorescent, CFL & HID bulbs, visit LightRecycleWA.org.

Begin your own recycling program by setting up a place at your home to collect the material and drop them off at one of the listed sites when heading in that direction.
