Luke and Isaac Olson are bringing their country rock sound to Coulee Dam, July 4, where they will perform as the Olson Bros. Band, in the park below the Visitor Center.

The two hail from Olympia and seem destined for fame with their musical and songwriting skills.

The duo won the The Texaco Country Showdown national songwriting contest with a cash prize of $5,000, and soon plan to return to Nashville for a recording session.

The band is booked to play twice at the State Fair, and other bookings are rapidly filling its schedule.

Luke plays lead guitar, writes songs, and sings. When he isn't on stage he attends Washington State University, where he lives with his brother. His major: guitar performance.

Isaac plays the mandolin, acoustic guitar, writes songs, sings, and is promoter for the band. He is seeking a degree in civil engineering at WSU.

Also part of the band is Nate Collins, the band's rock solid bass player. He also plays keys and has started writing songs. When not on stage, Collins attends South Puget Sound Community College where he plays trombone in the jazz band.

Seth Bowman, who recently joined the band, is the drummer. He is a crime fighter in his day job.

Reece the Kid, rounds out the band with a song writing talent. He recently wrote "My Santa Claus Wears Camouflage" and "Everybody's Gonna Get Down Tonight." He also plays banjo.

The band broke out in 2013 winning a battle of the bands.

The Olson Bros. Band is being brought to the area by the Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce and is one of three bands featured in the Festival of America celebration at Grand Coulee Dam.
