Raider Tennis competed in three matches last week with a great deal of success.

“They are all very competitive and regularly push each other at practices to improve,” Head Coach Steve Archer said. “I am hopeful that each week we will continue to see their improvement.”

In their matches last week, the Raider boys defeated Wilbur-Creston on March 23 by 4-1, then beat Davenport 4-1 on Friday. Oroville handed the Raider boys their only loss of the week Wednesday.

The Raider girls defeated all three opponents, setting up a great start to the season.

Edmund Fenton competed with Rick Neumeyer so closely that they needed to play a “super tiebreaker,” which is played to 10 points with the winner ahead by two. Even then both Fenton and Neumeyer stayed close, with Fenton finally winning.

Last night, the Raiders hosted the Liberty Bell Mt. Lions. Tomorrow, the Raiders take on the Oroville Hornets in a 4 p.m. match at home.
