Four people showed up Tuesday as the painting crew to re-paint the interior of the Banks Lake Golf Course office and dining area. From the left are Jim Keene, Rose Keene, Gary Sullivan and Jerry Sands. Jim Keene and Sands are Port District 7 commissioners. The port district owns the course and manages it. The work is an overall effort to get the golf season off to a good start. There is a cleanup operation going on with a number of cottonwood trees that were felled last fall, and volunteers are needed for that effort this Saturday and Sunday. - Roger S. Lucas photo
