The Lady Raiders have started their postseason in softball, losing to Liberty Bell at home yesterday.

The last game of the regular season was a Lady Raider 11-1 victory over the Waterville Lady Shockers on May 1, which started off with leadoff hitter, freshman Kyona Edmo, knocking one out of the park to score a homerun.

"We had an excellent game," said Head Coach Alissa Mansker. "I told the girls after the game that It was one of the best softball games I have witnessed for execution."

"It was our girls' Senior Night," Mansker continued. "The seniors being Khani Priest, Chasity Williams, Sean Garvin and Kayla St. Pierre. Kayla and Sean are both injured and did not play. Khani Priest caught the entire five innings and was a wall at home plate. Chasity Williams pitched a tremendous five innings. Our hitting all around was well hit; hard hits throughout the field, advancing runners and filling the bases."

Finishing the season with a 12-4 win-loss record, the Lady Raiders finished second in the Central Washington 2B league, behind only the 15-1 Brewster Lady Bears.

Securing a first-round by in the league tournament, the Lady Raiders played in the second round yesterday against Liberty Bell, losing with a final score of 12-6.

The Lady Raiders will play again on Saturday, May 12, at 3 p.m., here against Tonasket.
