Marissa Joy Phillips-Rogers, 36, of Grand Coulee, Washington, passed away Wednesday evening, January 31, 2018, in Spokane, Washington. Born Friday, January 22, 1982, into the home of Bob Phillips and Charlene Drywater Phillips, Marissa attended homeschool and Way of the Cross Christian Academy. A lifelong member of Way of the Cross Indian Baptist Church for the last seven years, Marissa thrived in her position – serving customers and spending time with her working family as "Front Boss" at Grand Coulee's Hometown Pizza. Marissa was an avid Seahawks fan, watching them every chance she could, enjoying swimming in the summer and sledding in the winter. She used every opportunity to spend time in the out-of-doors, going for long drives and geocaching, but her greatest joy was when she could have time with her two sons.

Predeceased by her grandma, Irene Cochran, Marissa is survived by her two children: Aston Lee Rogers and Kanaan Jobe Rogers; parents, Bob and Charlene Phillips; sister, Sarah Lynn Phillips Bartholomew (Chris); brother, Robert Elijah Phillips (Whitney Elise); uncles: James Handle, Chuck Drywater and David Drywater; and nieces and nephews: Daniel Lickfold, Kaitlyn Lickfold, Jolie Lickfold, Joseph Andrew Cavasos, Alexaiver Odin Phillips and River Arlyce Phillips.

Funeral services for Marissa were held Monday, February 5, 2018, officiated by Rev. Larry McKinney and Rev. Glenn Hohmann at The Nespelem Tribal Long House. Burial followed in the Little Nespelem Cemetery.
