The Raider boys made mincemeat out of the Mountain Lions, lost a non-league game against the Bulldogs, and won a close one against the Trojans last week.

In Liberty Bell on Jan. 16, the Raiders earned a solid win over the Mountain Lions, with a final score of 71-41.

"We came out and played hard," said Head Coach Jeremy Crollard. "They are starting to play more like a team. As the year has gone on, they're doing pretty good with everything. Our younger guys are getting more experience and improving more every game. Most of the guys had good games that game."

On Friday, the Okanogan Bulldogs came to Coulee Dam to square off in a non-league match against LR, beating the Raiders with a final score of 67-49.

"Okanogan is a really good team," Crollard said about the 1A Caribou Trail League team. I thought our guys played really well. Some of the JV guys got to come up and get some experience too."

The next day the Raiders traveled to Manson and returned home the victors in a 46-40 win over the Trojans.

"Our game against Manson was probably the best game our team has played all around in all aspects of the game," Crollard said. "We out-rebounded Manson by about 25 rebounds. "[The Raiders] really did a good job. To go into any visiting place and get a win is huge."

Crollard said the game was close all the way to the end, commending Cameron St. Pierre's defensive job, Hunter Whitelaw's 15 rebounds, and Adam George's 17 points.

"Adam is a very skilled player. He was on fire," Crollard said.

The 6-5 Raiders are ranked fourth in the Central Washington 2B league behind Brewster (11-0), Oroville (9-4), and Tonasket (8-4), and ahead of Waterville (6-6), Manson (5-7), Bridgeport (5-7), Soap Lake (2-7) and Liberty Bell (0-12).

The Raiders played the Tonasket Tigers last night at home, which will be reported on next week. The Raiders travel to Omak for a non-league match on Jan. 25, before going to Bridgeport on Jan 27.

In the next home game, the Raiders will host the Brewster Bears on Monday, Jan. 29 at 7:30 p.m.
