This past week the Lady Raiders basketball squad had a solid win in Oroville, and a home game canceled and rescheduled due to weather.

In Oroville on Jan. 9, the Lady Raiders defeated the Lady Hornets 61-21, a similar score to earlier in the season when LR won 63-22 against Oroville.

“It was a good all-around defensive game for us,” Head Coach Wallace Pleasants said. “We worked hard on moving our feet and staying in front. Solid game for all, with us getting a chance to play the entire bench.”

Kayla St. Pierre led the Lady Raiders with 16 points. Other LR scorers for the evening were: Reyes 9; Edmo 6; A. Hansen 6; Pakootas 5; Olbricht 5; Ludwig 5; E. Hansen 4; Clark 3; Abel 2.

A home game against Brewster scheduled for Jan. 11 was canceled, as snow blanketed the region Thursday, and rescheduled for Jan. 29.

The Lady Raiders played in Liberty Bell yesterday, results of which will be published in next week’s Star.

The next home game is on Friday, Jan. 19, hosting Okanogan in a non-league game at 6 p.m.
