School to hold hearing on Indian Education program

Nespelem School District will conduct an annual review tonight of its Indian Policies and Procedures as they relate to Impact Aid and Indian Education, the school said.

The district will take input and suggestions, and answer questions related to the Indian policies, procedures and programs established to ensure parents of Indian students and members and officials of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation equal opportunity for input into the Nespelem School District and its Indian Education Plan.

The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. tonight (Wednesday, Jan. 10) in the Multi-Purpose Room.

All persons are invited to attend this review to offer input. Especially invited are parents of Indian children who currently attend or will be attending Nespelem School.
