No Chamber This Week

The Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce will not meet this Thursday, December 28. The next chamber luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Siam Palace in Grand Coulee.

Coulee Creators Meet on Tuesdays

Coulee Creators meet at 412 Federal Ave. Room 207, Grand Coulee. Contact Marlene Oddie at KISSed Quilts or 509-386-5715 for further details. There will be no Sew-in on December 26. Hours are normally Tuesdays 1-4 p.m., on Jan. 8, 9-5 p.m., All Day Sew-in. Stop by and get started on something new in 2018!

Food Bank Hours

The food bank at the Church of the Nazarene has normal operating hours every Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. It is located at the Church of Nazarene, Hwy 174, Grand Coulee. Grocery bags are no longer needed and clients are encouraged to provide their own containers to carry groceries home in. Call Pastor Shawn for information 633-2566.

AA Meetings for GCD and Nespelem Area

Confused in the Coulee AA meetings are held on Mondays and Fridays at 6 p.m. at the Vets Center in Electric City. Call Paul at 633-3377 days or 633-3345 evenings.

New Hope Group meetings are held Wednesdays at 6 p.m. at the Vets Center. These are open and non-smoking.

In Nespelem, the group Bound and Determined holds its meetings Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Church. Contact Myrna at 634-4921 for more information.

TOPS Meetings

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Chapter 1524 meets on Tuesdays at 9:15 a.m. at Grand Coulee Senior Center prior to the exercise group gathering at 10 a.m. Come and join for the health of it. The SAIL exercise class follows this meeting beginning at 10 a.m. There is no charge. Also, a SAIL exercise class is held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., in the basement of the Coulee Dam town hall.

Family History Center Available

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites all who desire to utilize the Family History Center in the Coulee Dam Chapel, located at 806 Spruce Street in Coulee Dam. The center is now open each Tuesday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The family history centers are free, open the public, and staffed by knowledgeable volunteers.
