Proctor wins 15/15 Bucking Battle in Tacoma

Grand Coulee native Shane Proctor won the 15/15 Bucking Battle in Tacoma over the weekend at the Built Ford Tough Tacoma Invitational, earning 93.5 points riding the bull named Pearl Harbor.

The event had the top 15 bull riders in the world riding the top 15 bulls. Proctor took the first place spot, beating out Matt Triplett who had 87.75 points, and ending Pearl Harbor’s 14-buckoff streak.

Proctor brought in 150 points toward his world standings from the ride, as well as $7,500.

In other Proctor news, the park in Grand Coulee on Highway 174 has recently been renamed Shane Proctor Park in honor of him and his accomplishments as a bull rider, which includes going to the Professional Bull Riders World Finals eight times, as well as being the 2011 National Rodeo Cowboys Association’s world champion bull rider.
