Track at Deer Park

The Raider track team traveled to Deer Park on Friday to compete at the Deer Park Invitational.

“Matthew TIllman had a solid performance in the 100-meter dash,” noted Head Coach Lori Adkins, “(as did) Traey Clark in the 200 and placing fifth in the 400. Kyle Edmo added to our point total, placing seventh in the 3,200.”

“On the girl’s side,” Adkins continued, “Keianna Vera had a strong day, bettering her marks in the javelin, shot put, and 100; and Loryn Moore had a great debut, especially in the 400.”

Moore had finished fifth in the 400, with a finish time of 1 minute, 8.74 seconds.

Combined, the Raiders set 13 personal records and three season records in Deer Park.

The track team’s next event will be on Tuesday, April 11, in Davenport for the NE 1B/2B League meet, with events scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
