The GCHS Alumni Association has broadened the eligibility of students who may apply for the $500 scholarships they will be awarding this year. Seniors who are graduating from Lake Roosevelt High School have been eligible since 2001, when the association awarded their first two scholarships, and this year any graduating senior from any high school who is a direct descendant of a person who attended Grand Coulee School District 55 at any time may also apply.

The Association has also added two scholarships in the amount of $500 for a student who has completed at least one year of college and is a direct descendant of a former student of District 55.

Lake Roosevelt seniors can pick up an application at the school from their career counselor, Tiffany Gerard. Seniors from any other school or students who have completed the one year of college requirement can request an application by calling Liz Marcolin at 509-633-0190, or by leaving her a note at the Senior Center. Applications must be postmarked by May 1, 2017, to be considered for any of the scholarships.
