The Lake Roosevelt Lady Raiders dominated in softball for the second week in a row, going 4-0 for their season win-loss record, to sit on top of the Central Washington 2B league rankings, just above the 3-1 Liberty Bell team.

In Bridgeport on Saturday for a doubleheader against the Fillies, the Lady Raiders won their first game 21-1, and the second 22-0.

"We had excellent pitching again this week with Tristen (Adolph) having 12 strikeouts out of 16 (at bats) total in the first game," said Head Coach Alissa Mansker.

The first game went only four innings and the second game three before the mercy rule was applied because of the large point margins.

In the second game, the ladies didn't allow any scores at all from the Fillies, following through with their saying, "three up, three down," meaning each of the opposition's three hitters should go out in each inning.

"We had a lot of great hits with many triple and double line drives to the outfield," Mansker said. On defense, "Khani Priest made an excellent double play in the second game."

The 4-0 Lady Raiders hosted the 2-2 Oroville Lady Hornets yesterday, results of which will be in next week's Star.

Lake Roosevelt will host the Liberty Bell Lady Mountain Lions in a doubleheader on Friday, March 31, on Ludolph Field at the former middle school in Grand Coulee. The first game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
