Ronald W. Whitehead, 63, was born February 23, 1953, at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Washington. He passed away peacefully at Hospice of Spokane North on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, after suffering several years of cancer and surgeries. He had just retired from Grand Coulee Dam after working there for over 30 years and had worked for Safeway 11 years in his younger years.

He was a very busy, energetic person, enjoying walleye fishing, meticulous gardening and yard, golfing, his cats (who were his children), football, crossword puzzles, Eagles Club and bowling. When he was 18 years old, he bowled a perfect 300 game at Silver Lanes in Spokane; he also bowled a 300 game in Grand Coulee, Washington, with his name still up on the wall at the bowling alley.

Ron is survived by his mother, Geraldine M. Wagner, Mead, Washington; sister, Connie M. Stanton, Grand Junction, Colorado; and brother, Richard A. Whitehead (Gerry) of Everett, Washington; his nieces: Ericka, of Everett, and Susan and Lori of Colorado; and very good friends, Mark, Walt and Terry, who stood by him and helped him through all the bad times. His loving companion and "significant other," Chris Williams, was always there by his side, along with her daughters, Emily and Hannah.

We all loved him very much and will miss him, as he was a wonderful, caring joy in our lives.

At his request, there will be no funeral service at this time, but will celebrate his life at Loon Lake Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, please remember the Humane Society, as he loved all animals.
