Scouts take a break at the Care and Share Food Bank Saturday after bringing in 1,200 pounds of food collected in their annual drive. Empty plastic bags were left on doorsteps all over the community a couple weeks ago with instructions for donations to be placed outside last Saturday. The scouts, from Boy Scout Troop 24 and Cub Scout Pack 24 picked those bags up Saturday and took them to the food bank, located in the basement of the Church of the Nazarene.
