Lynn M Jackson, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 6, in Spokane, Washington, surrounded by family.

Lynn grew up on a farm and graduated in 1943 from Sunfield High School in Michigan. After serving two years in the Army, he and his bride moved to Washington where he furthered his education, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1953 from Eastern Washington College of Education. Lynn taught school in Clarkston and Grand Coulee, Washington, before accepting a job as a pipefitter with the Bureau of Reclamation at Grand Coulee Dam, from which he retired after 28 years.

He was a lifetime member of the Grand Coulee United Methodist Church and was a lay minister, as well as sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.

He moved to Spokane with Martha in 2007, where he was an active volunteer in their retirement community and continued his hobby of working with wood.

Lynn had a marvelous sense of humor and always loved a joke or a funny story. He liked to laugh and to make others laugh.

Lynn led by example in all things. He was a hard worker, willing to give of himself with no expectation of reward. His children and grandchildren learned important life skills by watching him just live his life. He will be missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, in 2015.

He is survived by children: Katy (Philip) Nolette, Marilyn (Marvin) Wigen, Brian (Nancy), and Jolene; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Union Gospel Mission, Hospice of Spokane, or the charity of your choice would be welcomed.
