Tena Marie Foster, of Coulee Dam, Washington, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016, in Spokane, Washington.

She was born June 15, 1956, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Louis and Ellen Myrdean (Roseborough) Smith. After high school Tena went on to college and received her luris doctorate in Criminal Law, where she was an attorney for many years in Utah, Idaho and Washington, and for the Colville Confederated Tribes.

Tena married Mark Foster on July 13, 1991, in Lehi, Utah.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Coulee Dam; the Utah, Washington, and Idaho Bar Association; and with the Colville Confederated Tribes.

Tena enjoyed playing the piano, doing puzzles, reading, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Tena is survived by her husband, Mark, at their home; five children: Jason Herbert Parker, Mykel Louis Stacy Parker, Zachary James Foster-Zundel, Steven William Foster-Zundel and Akaycia Marie Foster; and three grandchildren; her mother, Ellen Myrdean Smith; brother, Gerald, and sister Angela; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Louis Smith, and a brother, Wendell Smith.

Tena will lie in state at the Coulee Dam Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 806 Spruce, Coulee Dam, on Saturday, October 22, 2016, from noon until 2 p.m., followed by funeral services at 2 p.m., with Bishop J.
