Dig out that old garden rake, it’s spring cleanup time in the coulee.

All towns have a slightly different schedule than the others.

The spring cleanup schedule is April 2-9. Full details are available on page 2.

In Elmer City, if you are unable to haul your garden waste to the transfer station, and if you are 65 years or older, or are handicapped, call town hall, 633-2872, for assistance.

In Coulee Dam, the town crew will pick up chippable tree limbs, from specified locations and times, through April 1. Residents may take other garden waste to the transfer station and dump them free of charge during the cleanup dates. Still left on the schedule: March 30 for the “Airport Addition,” March 31 for the “Hilltop Addition,” and April 1 for “West Coulee Dam.”

In Grand Coulee from April 11-15, the city crew will pick up garden material only. Branches must be cut to under 6 feet long. The city asks that you have the material at the curb and call city hall at 633-1150 to let the city know that you have your waste ready to be hauled.

In Electric City, there will be free pickup service, and it needs to be at curbside by 8 a.m. Monday, April 11. Up to one pickup full will be hauled to the transfer station for free. Call city hall (633-1510) when your material is ready to be hauled.

All limbs, in all cities and towns, must be cut to under 6 feet long.
