Peggie Louise Jordan, 59, well-known chef and friend to all in the Grand Coulee, Washington area passed away at Coulee Medical Center in Grand Coulee, Wednesday evening, December 30, 2015. Peggie was born September 15, 1956, in Spokane, Washington, to the home of Elisha and Lydia Johnson. As a child, she attended St. Anne's Catholic School in Spokane. In 1966, her family moved to Grand Coulee, Washington, where she attended Grand Coulee High School. Friday, January 28, 1977, was a chilly winter day which warmed Peggie's heart when she married the love of her life, Alfred "Al" Jordan, in his Grand Coulee home. Peggie and Al owned and operated many different businesses, such as "Peggie's Place Deli," "Hawaiian Wok & Pizza" and "The Coulee Bowl." She also worked at the "B & B," "Rock'n Robins," and "The Coulee House Motel." Peggie enjoyed reading her Bible, bowling and light gambling. She loved her dogs and in her later years loved getting tattoos of various animals. As well as being a wonderful cook, Peggie was a kind and compassionate woman whose door was always open to anyone who needed a helping hand; whether it be good company, a meal or shelter.

Preceded in death by her parents, Elisha and Lydia Johnson; sister, Kathleen Johnson and brother, Eli Johnson; Peggie's legacy lives on through her loving husband of 38 years, Al Jordan; children: Sharissa Steffen (Craig), Alfred Jordan Jr. (Princess) and Nicole M.
