The Lady Raiders opened their basketball season last week with two wins before losing to Warden at home on Saturday.

Two of the first three games were close, with the game decided by only a few points.

LR now looks to carry the early momentum into the second week of the season.

At Oroville Dec. 8, the Lady Raiders held off the Hornets for a narrow win, 41-38. Then at home against the Tigers of Entiat on Thursday, the Lady Raiders won by a double-digit margin, 45-32.

The Warden Cougars came to Coulee Dam Saturday and proved to be just as tough an opponent as the Oroville Hornets. The game was close, but in the end Warden was able to make more shots than the Lady Raiders. Final score against Warden was Cougars 54, Lady Raiders 50.

Last night at Gailord Nelson Gym, the Lady Raiders hosted the Fillies of Bridgeport. Coming into the game, the Fillies' win-loss record stood at 1-2, with big losses to Waterville and Brewster.

Friday, the Lady Raiders will host the Manson Trojans in Gailord Nelson Gym starting at 6 p.m. The Trojans were 2-2 at deadline, with both wins against Soap Lake by margins of five points or fewer.
