Peggy Lea Sandgren

Peggy Lea Sandgren, 64, was born December 7, 1950, into the Walla Walla, Washington home of Lee and Beverly Dodson and died Thursday, May 28, 2015, at her Grand Coulee, Washington residence. Peggy graduated from Walla Walla High School then attended Walla Walla, Spokane Falls and Pasco Community Colleges and following in her mother - Beverly's footsteps became a cook in restaurants, eventually preparing meals side-by-side with Beverly for members and guests of the Grand Coulee Senior Center. Peggy was always passionate about helping others, volunteering for years as a counselor for the Grant County Mental Health District. Along with cooking, Peggy enjoyed spending time outside working in her yard and being artistic, but especially loved being the favorite Aunt to her nephews and nieces.

Predeceased in 1989 by her beloved husband – Thomas Sandgren and both of her parents; Peggy is survived by her brothers: Thomas Carter and Gerald Dodson; sisters: Patsy Kelly Bates (Stanley), Brenda Wilson and Sherri Wright; numerous nephews and nieces and her ever-present four-legged companions: "Baby", "Willie" and "Daisy".

At Peggy's wishes cremation has taken place, with a private inurnment at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane, Washington.
