You can save some big bucks this year by purchasing Colorama Carnival tickets early.

Chamber of Commerce officials, the sponsoring agency for the event, said advance daily tickets are now on sale at seven locations: The Credit Union, Chamber of Commerce office, Coulee Hardware, Coulee Medical Center, H & H Grocery, Loepp Furniture and The Star newspaper.

Advance session tickets are $25. If you wait until the event, the session ticket costs go to $30.

But the value of purchasing early is even greater. With your $25 advance purchase you get five game tickets free, a value of $5. At the gate cost of $30, you have to purchase game tickets separately, so your savings is really $10.

The carnival will operate on Thursday after school, beginning at 5 p..m., Friday from 3 p.m. and on Saturday, two sessions -- from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 4-9.

Paradise Amusements, out of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, returns this year for another Colorama presentation.
