Determination of Non-Significance (DNS).

Description of proposal: Amendments to City of Electric City development regulations; Electric City Municipal Code Title 18, Chapters 18.05 Definitions, 18.40 General Regulations and 18.45 District Regulations.

The lead agency for this proposal has determined that it does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030 (2) (c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request.

This DNS is issued under WAC 197-11-340(2); the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 21 days from March 25, 2015. Comments must be submitted by 5:00 PM, April 15, 2015.

OF DOCUMENTS

NOTICE IS HEREBY that the City of Electric City, in compliance with provisions of the Growth Management Act (GMA), has released the following documents for the required 60 day review and comment process: a proposed ordinance to add, modify and repeal definitions in Chapter 18.05; amend 18.40.020 to modify regulations pertaining to Accessory Buildings and Structures; amend Chapter 18.40 – General Use Regulations to add a new section 18.40.XXX to provide regulations for Home Occupations; amend 18.40.030 Prohibited Uses to modify timeframes for certain uses and repeal outdated regulation; amend 18.40.070 District Use Chart to clarify intent and modify use chart; amend 18.45.020 Table 2 to modify regulations pertaining to Accessory Structures and Buildings; amend 18.45.070 to clarify regulations within the clear vision area; and, amend 18.45.080 to clarify regulations pertaining to fences of Title 18 Zoning of the Electric City Municipal Code; and, a SEPA Checklist on the proposed amendments. The formal review and comment period runs through May 26, 2015 with the City Council tentatively scheduled to hold a public hearing at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at the Electric City City Hall at 10 Western Avenue. Interested persons may obtain copies of the documents being released at City Hall or on the City’s Website, electriccity.us. All persons requiring assistance in accessing City Hall or needing other assistance are requested to contact City Hall at 633/1510 prior to the hearing.
