Julieanne LaFountaine, 36, was born April 16, 1978, in Seattle. She passed away quietly, due to a sudden cardiac arrest, surrounded by those who loved her most in the late afternoon on Friday, March 6, 2015, at Harborview Medical Center.

Julieanne attended school in Half-Moon Bay, California and then Lake Roosevelt High School in Coulee Dam, Washington. Even though Julie grew up on the reservation, she did not like the quiet life and would always go back to Seattle. One would say that the city lights held a special place in her heart. Julieanne never knew a stranger, she enjoyed being around people - would talk to someone for the first time and very soon they would often feel like they were an old friend. All who were honored to know Julieanne, knew she would always be willing to help if there was a need and that Julieanne – known by some as "Big Mamma" or "Big Mac" –due to her love of McDonalds, loved to laugh and have a great time. The greatest love of Julieanne's life will always be her son Jake, whom her sun rose and set upon.

Julianne is survived by her wonderful son Jakobi "Jake" LaFountaine; her parents: Maria and Gary Abbott (whom she called dad); siblings: Chase and Rindi Abbott of Denver, Colo., Justin Abbott of Gumi-si, South Korea, Roslynn LaFountaine of Coulee Dam, Starr Clark of Omak, Jennifer Ponce of Hilton Head, S.C., and MaryJo and Matt Sandberg of Polson, Mont., and a loving extended family.

Julieanne is proceed in death by her grandparents Frank and Julia LaFountaine and Martin and Jeanette Timentwa, her nephew Joshua Louie and her father John "Joe" Timentwa.

Julianne's dressing will be held 1 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2015, at Strate Funeral Home in Grand Coulee, Washington. A visitation and viewing will then be held at 7 p.m, Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Catholic Longhouse in Nespelem, Washington, with Julieanne's funeral to be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 14, 2015.
