Chance Garvin

Three Raider boys and four Lady Raiders were named to Central Washington North 2B All-League teams for their play during the 2014-15 season.

Chance Garvin was the only Raider named to the first team. Jacob Palmer, Katelynn Schilling, and Jocelyn Moore made second team. For honorable mention, Austin Rosenbaum, Alana Epperson, and Lachelle Bearcub were put forward for recognition.

Chance Garvin lead the Raiders in many games in multiple stat categories. Garvin also overcame the loss of a relative mid-season to lead the Raiders back to the regionals. For the season, Garvin averaged 15.6 points a game while also bringing down six rebounds and grabbing 2.2 steals. Returning for his senior season in 2015-16, Garvin hopes to lead the Raiders to the Spokane Arena and come home with a trophy.

Jacob Palmer was a big part of the Raider success under the basket this season. Palmer led the team in rebounding with over 6 per game along with his 9.25 per game scoring average this season. Palmer is also returning to the squad next season for his senior year and will again be a big part of the team's success.

Katelynn Schilling lost her junior season due to a severe knee injury and was looking to prove that she was still the player who was named to the All League team as a sophomore. Schilling did that by being the rock for the Lady Raiders. Picking up rebounds and scoring an average of 7 points a game Schilling kept LR in the game and made possible some wins this season. Schilling is heading to George Fox next year, where she will compete on the track and field team.

Jocelyn Moore was an addition to the Lady Raiders that they needed under the basket. She scored points when it looked like LR would not, and Moore grabbed rebounds that opened other opportunities. The junior will return next season, when she will try to fill the void left by Schilling's departure.

Alana Epperson

Austin Rosenbaum overcame an injury to play good basketball down the stretch that helped make the regionals a reality. Rosenbaum continued to grow as a player making key shots and grabbing great rebounds in key games. For the season, Rosenbaum averaged 6.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. Rosenbaum is graduating this year and will move on to greater things that he is capable of achieving.

Lachelle Bearcub was another rock for the Lady Raiders. Bearcub did not score as many points this season, but her presence was reaffirming for the others who played better when she was on the floor. Bearcub is returning next season and will become the rock on which the Lady Raiders build their season.

Alana Epperson was the guard for the Lady Raiders this season. Bringing the ball down and shooting the shots, Alana was the person. This is the second year she has earned post-season honors. Alana and her sister Riley have played many minutes for the Lady Raiders the past three seasons and leave big shoes to fill with their graduation.
