Chamber at Pepper Jack’s

The Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon this Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Siam Palace. A presentaiton by Jim Brakebill and Cindy Jayne will be on Packing Friendship-Weekend Food Backpacks.

American Legion Post 157 Meets

The American Legion Post 157 holds legion meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Vets’ Center in Electric City. All veterans are welcome. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, February 10. For more information contact Jerry at 633-2579.

GCD Employees Association Meeting

The Grand Coulee Dam Employee Association will hold its February meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 5:30 p.m., at the Melody Restaurant. A friendly reminder that membership dues for 2015 are due. For those needing more information contact president Mike Polk at 678.588.7029.

Hay Meeting

Connecting for Youth

Teachers, School Administrators, teens who mentor youth, 4-H volunteers, every 4-H family, you are invited to join in a great opportunity to learn and partner with other community organizations.

Thursday, Feb. 12, 6:30 – 8 p.m. join 14 states, territorries and provinces in a webniar “Widening the Circle: Special Connections.” It will be held at the Okanogan County WSU Extension Office, Room 101 in the courthouse I Okanogan. This is a no-cost event and registration is not required. For more information call 422-7245.

Wenatchee Valley Erratics Chapter to Meet

Wenatchee Valley Erratics Chapter of the Ice Age Floods Institute will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the Wenatchee Valley Museum, 127 South Mission, Wenatchee. The speaker will be Brian Sherrod of the USGS, Department of Earth and Space Sciences, UW.

Care and Share Food Bank

The food bank at the Church of the Nazarene normal operating hours are every Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. It is located at the Church of Nazarene, hwy 174, Grand Coulee. The bank still can use clean plastic grocery bags.

Local AA Meetings

Confused in the Coulee AA meetings are held on Mondays at 7 p.m., Friday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.. at the Vets Center in Electric City. Call Paul 633-3377 days or 633-3345 evenings. New Hope Group meetings are held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Vets Center. For more information call John 633-2448. These are open and non-smoking.

In Nespelem the group Bound and Determined holds its meetings Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Catholic Church. Contact Myrna 634-4921 for more information there.
