After a long battle with breast cancer Kristine Dembiczak passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, at home, with her husband and children by her side.

Kristine was born in August of 1938 in St. Paul, Minn., the first of eight children born to Ethel and Gregory Keller. She graduated in 1960, from St. Catherine's College in St.Paul, earning a degree in Elementary Education after which she pursed her teaching career in St. Paul until she met her love for life, Wallace Dembiczak, on a blind date.

They were married in 1964 at Maternity of Mary Catholic Church in St. Paul after which they made their first home in Seattle. Kristine taught locally until the couple's first child, daughter AnnMarie, was born. Son Paul and daughter Lynette were born in the following years.

Surviving immediate family members include her husband of 50 years, Wallace of Kent, Wash., daughters AnnMarie Hall (Charlie) of Camano Island, Wash., Lynette Martin (Rob) of Seattle, Wash., son Paul of Washougal, Wash., grandchildren Samantha and Danielle Hall and Audrey and Justin Martin.

A private burial was held at Holyrood Cemetery, Seattle, and a Memorial Mass was held on December 8, at the St. Anthony Chapel located in Kent.
