Saturday Sept. 6, my husband, Dale Henriksen, and I decided to canoe on Lake Roosevelt. When we were finished we decided to take the canoe out of the water at the beach to load in our truck.

There was a couple there that offered assistance in loading. We chatted with them as they wanted to know where the closest Walmart was and found out that they were from Kennewick. The wife, Michelle Allgaier (www.chelldesignstudio.com), was sub-contracted to paint the L.R. in the gym with the quote, “ActiveKidsDoBetter” (from a school website).

It just amazes me when we meet a person who works behind the scenes putting on one of the finishing touches for our new school. There is alot of behind-the-scenes people who are not recognized, but I was honored to meet one of them.
