Raider golf came up short at the the District 5-6 Golf Tournament at Lake Chelan Golf Course May 20, so no Raider golfer will advance to the state tournament this season. Brandon Desautel and Mikel Friedlander finished sixth and seventh, respectively, which was just one place too low to advance.

“Our kids were grinding out there, but we didn’t play our best,” Raider Head Coach Steve Files said. “I was proud of our effort and the way we competed.”

Desautel shot a 116 for his sixth-place finish. He need to cut off six strokes to qualify for state.

Austin Rosenbaum was right behind him with a 118 on the day. Alex Garcia finished 10th, shooting a 130. Kyle Holt rounded out the Raider boys with a 15th place finish with a score of 147.

Friedlander finished the 18-hole round in 148 strokes for her seventh-place finish. Friedlander was just eight strokes away from qualifying for state. Madisyn Byam was the other girl competing for the Raiders, and finished ninth with a 157.
