Three home tennis matches against White Swan came down to tiebreaks, with LR winning all three April 22.

The weather became a factor as the matches, played on both the high school courts and the Coulee Dam Community Courts in Cole Park, had to be delayed for two hours due to rain. The delay meant that the final match was not completed until 8 p.m.

Daniel Campobasso’s singles match against Tre Deleon finished with a 10-8 tiebreak.

Tyler Agosto and Edmond Fenton won their doubles match in a 11-9 tiebreaker. The last match to go to tiebreaker was the victory Holly Jo Carriere and Areielle White had over Gutierrez and Spoonhunter, 7-4.

“These were thrilling wins,” Head Coach Steve Archer said. “Our work on mental toughness definitely paid off!” Isaiah Baty picked up a singles win over Alexis Galvan to secure the overall match victory for the LR boys.

The Raider boys won their next road match at Oroville, where Campobasso took down Connor Bocook 6-1, 6-0.

In an exhibition match, Isaiah Baty defeated Lillie Granland 8-2 for another singles win.

But the Hornets swept the Raider girls, with the closest match being Areielle White vs. Menze Pickering which went to tiebreak set. White lost 7-4.

In a coed exhibition, Holly Jo Carriere teamed up with Tyler Agosto for a doubles match against Angela Nelson and Kaylee Foster. Carriere/Agosto won 8-2.

Last night the Raiders hosted the Okanogan Bulldogs. Tomorrow LR will be at home again to host the Wilson Creek Devils, starting at 4 p.m. on both the high school and community courts. LR defeated the Devils in Wilson Creek on April 10 and will be looking to complete the season sweep.

On Friday, the Raiders travel to Liberty Bell to take on the league leading Mt. Lions in a 4 p.m. match. Liberty Bell defeated the Raiders at LR.
