Cynthia Lynn (Cindy) Callaway was born in Fargo, N.D., on May 5, 1955, the daughter of Jean and Marlin Newnam. She was raised and educated in Montana and Idaho.

Cindy lived in Nampa, Idaho, until moving to Seattle in the late 1970s. She enjoyed making craft items and writing poetry. One of her poems was published in a small local paper.

She married L.J. Callaway on December 20, 2000. They had been separated for several years. Cindy moved to Electric City in 2009, to live with her father. She resided with him until her accidental death on March 22, 2014.

Cindy is survived by her daughter Rochelle Regnier, Burian, Wash., her father Marlin Newnam, Electric City; three brothers: Clark Newnam, Spring Valley, Calif., Keith Newman, Caldwell, Idaho, and Daryn Kolasch, Nampa, Idaho; one sister Karlys Thoma of Boise, Idaho and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by all of her grandparents; her mother, Jean Dorothy Beckman and her youngest sister Ginger Elaine Newnam.
