Tribes claiming fishing control at Geezer Beach

After not patrolling Geezer Beach for almost a year, C.C.T. is again bullying and terrorizing local legal anglers. The Bureau (of Reclamation) owns and controls the land known as Geezer Beach.

C.C.T. is in Boise, at the regional offices of the Bureau of Reclamation, asking permission to get regulatory control of said beach. Obviously, they do not have control now!

This is when we must get united and call the Boise office and tell them what we think of their considering giving control of the beach to an entity that does not respect laws already in place.

Let alone show respect for the anglers fishing on the beach, using unprofessional tactics that border on terrrorism. Threatening to throw fishing gear in the lake! Really? Confiscating gear illegally! And the tribe does not allow for due process; on your ticket, it states you are not allowed to bring witnesses! Really? Maybe I should contact the A.C.L.U.

The tribe also claims ownership and control of L. Roosevelt, with the 1310 line retreating with the water level. Even people boating in have been terrorized, with families and children watching as supposed law enforcement officers bully law abiding campers. I have multiple videos of this behavior that I am going to share with Boise and the Department of the Interior.

Getting control of Geezer Beach is the first step in a plan the tribe has to control all of L Roosevelt. Don't expect somebody else to stop this. Write or call Boise. Regional Director for BOR in Boise @ (208) 378-5012.

They can only take it away if we allow it.

C. Williamson
