Mamoru Rock Ar-Sikh Hewitt (21) left us from his Manson, Wash., home during the early morning hours of Sunday, September 15, 2013. Mamoru, who began his earthly journey March 7, 1992, in Honolulu, Hawaii, attended high school in Wilbur, Wash.. where he was a member of the Wilbur Wildcats football and basketball teams, before attending Salish Kootenai College in Nespelem, Wash. His work at the Manson Mountainview Lodge was more than a job to Mamoru, his fellow workers became like a second family to him. Mamoru enjoyed basketball, watching UFC at every opportunity, playing “Texas Holdem” and working out at the gym. A man who greatly valued his time with friends, Mamoru especially cherished time spent with his “Shining Star” niece – Josephine and loved trying to beat his mom at fishing (which didn’t happen very often!).
