Rob Skordas, who had a chiropractic practice in Grand Coulee years ago but changed careers, is now the manager of Bureau of Reclamation’s Lower Colorado Dams Office, which manages, operates and maintains Hoover, Davis and Parker dams and associated facilities on the Colorado River.

Rob is the son of Tom and Kathy Skordas of Coulee Dam.

In 1999, Robert Skordas changed directions in his life and took an apprentice power plant operator position at Grand Coulee Dam.

In 2002, he worked in the Mid-Pacific Region at the Central California Area office located at Folsom Dam where he began as a control operator. In 2010, Skordas left Folsom as operations team leader and joined the Lower Colorado Region as the facility manager at Davis Dam, then took that position at Hoover in January, 2012.

The selection of Skordas was announced July 3 by Lower Colorado Regional Director Terry Fulp.

Skordas was a doctor of chiropractic for 15 years and married Paula Reit of Coulee Dam. The couple have two children, both attending Boulder City High School.
