At the Coulee Dam Town Council meeting held on March 27th, Councilperson Bob Poch stated that "we" could not just walk away from $1.5 million on the table from IHS for the proposed Waste Water Treatment Facility and that more and sufficient time is needed for IHS to bring their proposal and requirements for their contribution to the WWTF.

Kudos to Mr. Poch for stating the need to move forward with new ideas and alternative plans. Shame, shame, shame on the rest of the council who hung their heads and for not offering a motion or a second on the idea.

It was asked of the town clerk why the contract for building inspector was again awarded to a company out of Tri Cities on 2/19 even though the Council was asked to consider 2 local inspectors on 2/13. Two inspectors that don't have to be paid for travel, for travel time and have a vested knowledge of the area. As of this writing, no response from the town clerk other than what was made in the meeting which was "the contract had already been awarded." It was assigned a week after it was brought to her attention that we wanted to look at local inspectors.

If the perception is that the administration of this town doesn't care, actions are proving the perceptions true.
