Jess building detail shop
Workers Tuesday lift trusses atop a new Jess Ford detail shop under construction. The 30x60 building will house the firm’s shop to prepare used vehicles for sale and to detail vehicles of customers. Jess Ford’s detail shop, now being constructed across the street from the car agency, when completed, will allow the Ford dealer to have a tire alignment shop and also sell tires.
Wade Jess, president of the dealership, said that moving his detail shop across the street will free up space in the agency’s main building to do wheel alignment and sell tires.
Jess purchased the property, across the highway from the agency, and has installed a used vehicle lot there. Now a 30-foot by 60-foot building is under construction which will house the firm’s detail shop where vehicles will be processed and checked before being made available for sale.
The planning process has been going on for about two years. Jess traveled to Ford’s main plant to be briefed on the new operation, and while back in the Midwest, he visited other agencies with similar operations.
