You are invited to bid on a General Contract for construction of the Grand Coulee Dam School District – K-12 New School Building Project in Coulee Dam, Washington. The project generally consists of an approximate 100,000 SF new K-12 building, including all associated site work.

Preliminary Estimate:

Base Bid: $24,000,000

Proposals will be accepted by the Superintendent for the Grand Coulee Dam School District until 3:00 PM, prevailing time, on February 25, 2013 at the Grand Coulee Dam School District Administrative Office at 110 Stevens Avenue, Coulee Dam WA 99116. Bid proposals will be opened publicly and read aloud at 3:00pm. Interested parties are invited to attend.

A Pre-Bid Conference, recommended for all prospective bidders, will be held 2:00 PM prevailing time, on Wednesday February 13, 2013 at the Project Site, Coulee Dam, WA 99116.

Plans and Specifications are available, January 29th, 2013, through the Architect at $300 per set (limit 2 sets to General Contractors and 1 set for subcontractors) or emailed PDF plans and specifications at no cost. The cost is refundable provided the documents are returned in good condition within 10 days after bid opening. Additional sets may be purchased at cost, non-refundable. Bid security amounting to five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid and five percent (5%) of each bid alternate must accompany each Bidder’s proposal in accordance with Instructions to Bidders.

No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the date and time set for opening thereof or before Award of Contract, unless said award is delayed beyond 45 days.

Substantial Completion shall be achieved within 530 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.

The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, and in particular, to reject a proposal not accompanied by the required bid security or data required. The process shall comply with WAC 180-29-105, RCW 28A.335.190 and RCW 43.19.1906. There are no federal funds associated with this project.
