1/18 - Dispatch advised police of a domestic violence issue on Kelso in Electric City, where they arrested a 66-year-old man who was taken to Grant County Jail.

- Police checked on a report of a man trying to commit suicide. When the officer arrived at the West Cardinal Road NE location he learned that the man had taken a rope and left the area.

- Police responded to a call of a deceased elderly woman at a residence on Mead Avenue. The police report stated that there was no evidence of foul play and the county coroner’s office stated that the body could be released to the funeral home.

1/20 - Police answered a domestic violence call on Dill Avenue in Grand Coulee and arrested a 45-year-old woman for that and for third-degree malicious mischief.

- A woman reported a suspicious person on Park Avenue. She told police she asked him why he was running and he sprinted away. Police looked for the man but couldn’t find anyone fitting the description.

1/21 - A woman on “A” Street told police that a dog entered her yard and attacked her dog. A verbal dispute developed between the two dogs’ owners. Police advised both about the city’s ordinance on dogs being loose.

- A person found a wallet at North Dam Park. The wallet contained a Chippewa Cree Tribal identification. Police are trying to find the owner.

1/22 - A Spokane Valley driver was cited for his tabs being expired and not having insurance after being stopped at the Four Corners.

- A man told police that someone was trying to access personal information of his by claiming he owed a credit card debt. He is complaining to various agencies.

1/23 - Police responded to a 911 call from a residence on Stevens Street in Electric City and found that a couple had apparently been in a dispute and the woman had kicked in an interior door. It was also noted that the man had a bite mark on his wrist. The woman was arrested for malicious mischief with an attachment of domestic violence and taken to Grant County Jail.

- An Elmer City woman told police that she had left her purse in a shopping cart and it turned up missing at Safeway. She said she didn’t notice that she didn’t have it until after she left the store. Officials at the store said no one turned the purse in. An officer plans to review store security tapes to see if they can see who took the purse.

- Police were notified that there were some 6-foot-long coiled metal pieces in the roadway at milepost 29 on SR-174. Police found out that the metal pieces belonged to Wilson Construction, a company doing work at the dam. They picked up the metal pieces.

1/24 - A woman turned in a computer bag that was given to her on Disautel Pass by a woman who had been in a wreck before she left in an ambulance.

1/25 - A man living on Hill Avenue found some fireworks debris near his residence and asked police to take the material away so kids couldn’t get into it.

- A woman came into the department office to retrieve a suitcase held by police when she was arrested and taken to jail. The woman agreed that everything was there when it was returned to her.

- A man on Spokane Boulevard NE, told police that a female with a pink umbrella and a teddy bear was in the horse stables in the area. He said he told the woman to leave, and when he returned all the horse stalls were open.

- Coulee Medical Center asked for assistance in watching a man with mental problems.

1/26 - A man at Coulee Medical Center told police that someone had entered his unlocked vehicle and taken a prescription drug container with 100 pills in it. Police are looking to see if security cameras recorded the theft.

- A man on Spokane Way called to tell police that someone had taken his trailer that was parked on the property. The man was in Tacoma and he said he would supply information when he returned.

1/27 - Police responded to a report of domestic violence at a residence on Spokane Way. A 12-year-old girl at the house said that her mother had punched her in the chest while two sisters, 7 and 4, had held her down. The mother denied it and the two smaller sisters backed up the mother’s story that she had been trying to discipline the 12-year-old. Police advised the 12-year-old girl to obey her mother.

1/28 - Police were asked to patrol a residence on Washington Place in Electric City due to a death in the family.

1/29 - Police were called to the Hill Avenue area where it was reported that a woman was talking to herself and acting strangely. It was handled by an EMS crew.

1/21 - A woman called police to report that a number of young people were in front of Lake Roosevelt High School making noise. Police found the front door of the school open and went to the gym where the lights were on and the youth were playing basketball. When the youth saw the police they ran outside and hid. Police ordered them out of hiding.

- A man jogging on his treadmill called police after he saw a young man hide a black zippered bag in the bushes at the Mormon Church. Police found the bag, which contained, among other things, a black bag with marijuana inside.

1/22 - Police went to a house on Cedar Street where there had been a dispute and an alleged assault of a 9-year-old boy. Police learned that the dispute occurred when one person accused another of having a secret boyfriend. The child was allegedly hit with a belt because he wouldn’t get ready for school. Police are sending the report to Okanogan County Child Protective Services.

- A driver was stopped on River Drive because a pop can dropped out of his vehicle. He received a warning.

1/23 - Police checked on a vehicle and found that the joint owners had problems. The driver was on a suspended license and the passenger had violated a no-contact order. A licensed driver came to take charge of the vehicle and the driver was cited. The violator of the no-contact order was arrested and taken to Okanogan County Jail.

- A man living on Grant Avenue told police that when he returned from eating out, he noticed his front door was ajar. There were footprints in the snow leading to the door that didn’t match the homeowner’s. Nothing was missing from the house, the homeowner said.

1/24 - A man who lives in an apartment complex on River Drive told police that he had been drinking and because he got dizzy from an inner ear problem, a woman offered to drive him home. He said he went to bed immediately and fell asleep. He stated that when he woke up two of his laptops were missing, along with $475 in a change bottle and a rifle. He gave police the name of the woman who drove him home, and the incident is being investigated.
