Terry Lee Sharr, 57, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, after a short stay in the hospital. Born on March 6, 1955, to Harry and Joan Sharr, he was the eighth of 12 children. Terry never married and didn’t have any children, but was loved very much by all who knew him. He was born in Springfield, Ore., and grew up in Grand Coulee having graduated from high school there in 1973. Terry went on to Big Bend College’s nursing program, graduating as an LPN in 1975, then on to Columbia Basin College and received his nursing degree in 1980. He spent his life in nursing, working at both St. Luke’s and Sacred Heart Hospitals, before going to Air Way Heights Correctional Facility, where he worked up until the time of his death.

Terry enjoyed traveling and spent time in China, England, Hawaii and other places. He loved camping and shopping, but most of all he loved spending time with his friends, of whom there were many.

Terry is survived by nine sisters and brothers: Neoma and Mike Iannetta of Grand Coulee, Carolyn Hickum of Redmond, Echo and Ernie Pound of Ephrata, Harry “Bud” Sharr, Larry Sharr and Mike and Donna Sharr all of Grand Coulee, Jody and Rocky Mettling of Richland, Melvin Sharr of Grand Coulee and Cris and Dan Southerland of Redmond; numerous nephews and nieces and his honorary brother and sister Frank and Marie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.

Funeral Services will be held in Strate Funeral Home of Grand Coulee, at 12:30pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, with burial to follow at Spring Canyon Cemetery. Memorial services will be announced in Spokane at a later date.
