First, as a retired Navy veteran and Lake Roosevelt graduate, thank you for all who served, will serve, and support the local community. As I read the comment about racism in that article, I find myself wondering what I fought for. I have no problem with your concerns about the coverage on your son, but please don’t make that an excuse for a possible mistake by the local media. Remember, nobody is perfect. If this is the direction of this country in playing the race card for every disagreement or contoversy, then why did I serve? Sad day in America.
